firstly, thank you Alex for my award its so nice when you realise someone is actually reading your ramblings:-D
Ive also been tagged by
PillarboxRed & Beki so I have some thinking to do , Thanks Ladies, I enjoy both of your blogs :-)
Well, the wallpaper stayed up *cue cheering* and has received lots of positive comments including from Hubby which stopped me in my tracks as firstly there is a hint of colour, and secondly definitely some pattern going on which would normally induce uncomfortable twitching symptoms but I am keeping quiet and enjoying my moment of triumph..... I have more plans as well so watch this space!!! Although have been doing that rather dull and seemingly pointless job of painting the staircase......... how tedious and I have decided I am going to start a campaign to get Dulux/Crown etc to do a slightly off white gloss/satinwood which would enable me to just touch up areas of woodwork rather than the gleaming white contrast that new paint brings!! A "white with a hint of age" (around 2 years since last painted) should suffice........
Onto the "old" stuff .............. I had a lovely shopping trip planned with some blogger friends which isn't something I do on a regular basis (the shopping I mean!). Couple that with an evening arrangement ON THE SAME DAY and I start to worry........ will my stamina hold up? will I fall asleep with my face in the dessert that evening? Will I start to do my usual nonsense ramblings with my brain not quite functioning?? Well, despite my concerns I had a lovely day (although finished with my feet twice their normal size and sort of shuffled back to the car with the odd "ouch" every now and again) I indulged in a little light shopping (ok, more tat, but sometimes it is necessary tat!) I don't think the lady in the Cath Kidston concession had ever had such a group of enthusiastic shoppers before but a good time was had by all (I hope!) and my evening out at a lovely friends house who had made a fantastic job of a 3 course meal for a group of girlfriends finished my day off nicely. I bought some yummy fabric in Laura Ashley and am itching to get the children to school tomorrow as feeling like I NEED to make things again after having a few weeks away from crafting. I also was nearly drooling over the knitted throw in Cath Kidston but am going to re-acquaint myself with knitting and attempt something myself!!! The Daughter has a new duvet cover but will do pictures another time of it in situ.
As today is Sunday we have a very lazy day planned and Small Boy is currently indulging in his new Wii Game and totally engrossed in Mario Kart...........
If his driving skills now are any indication of the future I can see some very expensive insurance claims coming our way...............
Edited to add: Thank you Beki for my award I will pass it on soon!!

It sounds like you had a fab day and I look forward to your new creations, I wish a I had a staircase with banisters.... My stairs have walls both sides, I grew up in a biggish house with "a Hallway" I know its a pretty unused space living wise but I miss having one all the same!
I also miss my mums aga! but thats another story! lol

You can get a paint called 'antique white' by Period colours in eggshell. Its that sort of milky colour, very nice!
I think my OH has given up worry about colours and pattern. He just nods in agreement now! :-)
There's been lots of Wii'ing here too recently! I overheard Tall telling Tiny "It doesn't matter if you don't win Mario Kart, it's all good practice for driving when we're big!" Eeeeeek, not in my car!
Sounds like you had a fab day all my friends don't even know who CK is so it must be nice to meet up and have a girly day with friends who share the same taste!

Your little man looks so cute sat there!
It must be something in the air as I'd much rather mooch about looking for housey bits rather than clothes and when someome suggests a night out I be-grudgnly agree to go but would much prefer to stay in my cosy home!!
Sounds like you all had a great day out and well done on the wallpapaer still staying up, mind you dont do that good a job otherwise hubby will never decorate again!! :)) Speak soon.......Claire xx
Believe me it is not as clean as it looks in the photo!
I have started my diet today, hubby has nearly lost a stone, he joined the fat boy club at work! lol
I never thought for a minute he would lose it so quick, I am having so much stick from him; I have got to make an effort.
Off too work now, I hope that will help, all I keep thinking about is food and it is only 10:05 :0(
Love Lou x

Well deserved blog awards waiting for you!!! xxx
sounds like a lovely day and evening.
I know I'm feeling old when I read on another blog (kitschen pink) about the purchase of some vintage fabric, and realise it was the same as the material my mum used in my room when I was going up, which I assume, therefore makes me 'vintage'!! :-))
