To post or not to post................

that was the question I have been asking myself!!! Stepping away from blogland (for a variety of reasons) meant it was hard to get back in the saddle so to speak but I do like my little blog and the other blogs I read so here I go again :-)
One thing I do need to look at is how many blogs I am trying to keep up with! I found that if I start at the beginning of my bloglines list and work through it all by the time I get to the bottom the top one has probably posted again so I am back where I started!

What with bloglines, blogs I follow and bloglists its a wonder I haven't collapsed in a snivelling heap like I used to at school when faced with a list of French verbs to learn.........

So..... short but sweet for my blogging for now is my new motto.

I did have a whole host of things to tell you about and show you but thought I would set of a mass yawning session with the length of post required so I will show you my most recent little project instead .........

No comments of "you missed a bit" are allowed which is what my 7yr old said when she first saw it ! I am of the school of thought where you just slap on the paint and see what happens so don't look too closely ;-)

I did have images of two lovely pots filled with lavender either side with me sat amongst pretty cushions reading the latest Country Living magazine. Alas the weather has turned and its more likely to be covered in bird droppings and develop wet rot but hey, it looked nice for a day ................

Oh it doesn't matter ;)

I totally understand where you are coming from as you well know. I follow so many Blogs that I too have found it hard to keep it up, have now decided like you, to scale things down a little on my little olde, yet famous ;) Blog.

Your little man is beautiful, the bench aint bad too :)

Thanks for coming back

Hi Lesley
I know what you mean. If I don't keep up with reading them inbetween everything else during the day, I get too far behind and like you some have posted again before I've read the first one?!!!
Having said that, I do enjoy sitting down in the evening reading them all!

Is that really your garden? REALLY? I'm not surprised your blogging time is short! The bench looks lovely. Mine hasn't got to the painting stage yet!

I find the 'Mark All Read' button a godsend, though actually I've found it far easier to keep up since I switched from bloglines to google reader.

Nice to see you.
I heard that they are having a problem finding somewhere for the FA cup final to be played, perhaps they can use your garden?

Anyway as to blogging. I have loads in bloglines but more often than not I 'mark all as read' and move on, far too many to look at! I am being really strict with myself, I'm not giving myself over to blogging too much and feel better for it.

My list keeps growing, I try to read every day.. but it doesn't always happen...

glad you have returned and you do as much as you fancy... no-one will come around in the middle of the night and drag you from your bed to be tickled to death.... or will they!!!? ;D

Lovely bench and so beautifully presented by your young man!

Gorgeous colour! And very well applied too...!

I am going to have to do our shed and gates again as the black I applied in the Autumn has worn really badly. I might look at something like this instead this time - it looks fantastic. And how nice to have a garden of stately home proportions to put it in!

I know what you mean about blogging and following. I'm very erratic unless I have something definite to report, and I only follow one or two because it can take over your life!

bench looks great - it's a lovely colour - and I love the image of you, Country Living and lots of nice cushions. Just need the sun and a big glass of Pimms and the picture is complete - doesn't sound like there's much chance of the sun this weekend, but you could still go for the Pimms anyway I reckon!! xx

Wow, what a back garden! Put it at the end and no-one will see it!

The bench looks fabulous!! You are from my world of painting, slap it on and dont let anyone get too close, life's too short for sanding and priming! lol. Thanks for following my blog, it's lovely to have you on board and now i read you are being more selective with your blog reading, i am even more honoured!!! Mmwah X

Good to read you again Lesley. Blogging is a funny mix of stuff. Sure all our reasons for doing it are the same. Inspired by others, want to share our inspirations and thoughts, enjoy creating something for ourselves and reading others daily lives. Then on the flip side knowing (for me) I should be working more than reading and blogging so I go away and then feel I should be bloggings - aarrggh - why do it to ourselves. I also ask myself if I really make that much impact doing it - would it be better kept to myself and then have to do it less? I guess we all enjoy it too much.

The grounds that bench is sitting in looks very stately home and lovely by the way.

It's tough to keep up isn't it. Sometimes I log into google reader, see '129 unread posts' and close it up again. 'Blgging without obligation' is the way forward.

That looks like a stunning garden!
