Friends Swap & Fab Finds......

I recently joined in with Beki's Friends Swap and was lucky to be paired up with Alex from Pink Feather Paradise. I have been the lucky recipient to some of Alex's fab crochet in the past so was pleased to be her partner for this swap!!

For those who don't know the Friends Swap rules were to send something beginning with each letter of the word "FRIENDS"

I sent my swap off to Alex with nervous anticipation of whether or not she would like what I had put together for her! you can see what I sent here.

The following day I received my parcel and was giddy with excitement trying to restrain myself from ripping it open!

Here are the absolutely fantastic things she sent me: (all wrapped up in the lovely box above)
The handmade felt magnet tags are fantastic! the amount of detail and time that has gone into these is amazing I love them!

My F is for Fairycake is fab and looks good enough to eat :-)

My R is for Ribbon & ric rac is lovely and the I is for Individually wrapped chocolates (clever!) were eaten rather quickly!

My E is for Eclairs (one of my fav chocolates) have dwindled slightly but have saved a few for this afternoon :-)

N is for Notebook is the notebook I have wanted for some time after seeing it on a blog a while ago but never being able to track it down so am loving that along with D is for Dishcloth which is gorgeeeoouuuss and far to nice for spoiling with dishes!
S is for Salt Scrub is in a lovely crocheted holder. Again, very clever Alex :-)

I loved every single bit of a it! What a fab swap thank you soooo much Alex!!!

On my jaunts this weekend I popped into "King of Tat" TK Maxx :-)
Love this shop for various reasons including finding designer stuff at next to nothing and seeing the bizarre and the unusual!
This book I've had on my Amazon wish list for a while but been holding back trying to justify the £25 price tag so was pleasantly surprised to find it, albeit a bit tatty around the edges, but for £12 so popped it in the basket :-)

I also noticed this one as well which is full of yummy pictures and projects to do so imagine me(and children of course ;-) ) in that teepee one day very soon!

I am about to have a very lazy Sunday afternoon reading my new books and eating the rest of my eclairs but in the meantime here is what you get when you leave your 4 year old son and a pack of his reward chart stickers with your sewing machine! Apparently it has measles.......

Bye for now

Hi Lesley, I am glad you liked your bits and bobs, it looks so meager compared to the all the lovely goodies you sent me... The salt scrub holder can be used in the bath or shower as a flannel/exfoliator...

I am loving those books, the childrens spaces one looks very exciting... I can't wait to see what dens you make a lovely tp on your lawn would be fab!

how much more cheerful being ill would be if the spots were all rainbow coloured! ;D

Hi Lesley,
Well, I think your sewing machine has far more personality now! Lucky you with your swap goodies. Oooh, I love TK Maxx because in amongst, as you rightly put it, all the tat, you can find some bargainous treasures. I really like my Gentle Art of Domesticity book, it often makes it to bed with me (lucky thing I hear you cry!) even though I did wodge out the full £25 on it. I expect to see your tipi up in that enormous garden of yours sometime soon. Right, am skiving off the gardening but it wont be long before I'm tracked down...

Hi Lesley gorgeous goodies here.
I love both the blooks you have shown us. I have thought about ordering The Gentle Art but have not done so yet. I have a book on Childhood Treasures which is great.
I am sure Alex will love her swop with you.
I should have a go at a swop oneday, it always looks good fun.

Like you I don't watch much tv but these 2 are a must.
I really hope it's Susan but it seems too obvious. The writers are pretty good at making us think one thing at it being another though.
As for Greys, I can't believe i've left it so long to catch up, my darling other has got a shock coming because i'm reclaiming the tv (he can go in the bedroom and watch the damn sport).
Have a good week

Looks like you got some lovely goodies in your swap :) I have the "Gentle Art..." book too and I love it. I like to dip in and out of it now and again when I'm feeling a bit uninspired or grey and it always makes me feel better! x
