Making Monday.....

I have taken myself off to my sewing room today to hide from the horrid dusty dirty mess downstairs!! I plan to immerse myself in pretty fabric and ignore the fact that washing is piling up, the heating needs re pressurising as it wont come on and that a very heavy mist outside is making it sooo dark and gloomy everywhere!!

So here is what I have been doing so far today :

a little taggie for a friends new baby girl (it's pink gingham on the reverse side)

playing with patchwork - a cushion? a bag? I haven't yet decided!

wondering what I can do to re use a baby cot sheet that I had made from vintage noddy fabric when small boy was born.

and making a sewing machine cover from a tea towel (I cannot be the only one who has tea towels that are "too nice" to use can I ?!)

and its only mid-day!!

enjoy the week ........
bye for now

Hello Lesley,
Sorry to hear about your kitchen, sounds a nightmare and somehow, having work done in the kitchen always seems much worse than anywhere else. Love your makes, taking yourself off to your room was definitely the best idea! I take it you have embraced Alicia's patchwork idea? Great, isn't it!

Loving your makes.... The patchwork is gorgeous....beautiful colours and fabrics, may have to dust off the sewing machine and have a go myself......
Does that mean it was Kelly that had a girl? Don't keep me in suspense!!!!
Take care,

Hi Lesley and well done you. I am totally in love with your patchwork. I adore the colours you have used. I NEED to know what you are going to make. It's gorgeous. Yum, yum.
Oh yes, your other makes are lovely too. You work quickly. I get so distracted.
Hope the tiling goes better this week.

The taggie looks great. M has a small original taggy from when she was little....hidden away somewhere. She loved it.

Sounds like a great Monday, I always do my cleaning and tidying that day (by Wednesday motivation has run out and it's a mess again!). Love the taggie, my youngest used to adore hers.

Hello Lesley
I love the patchwork, the choice of coulours and fabric are gorgeous.
I sympathise with you re: Kitchen. Our whole house is being decorated, CHAOS & MESS and I don't like it...

sounds like you've been busy with home and crafts!! sorry your tiles didn't work. one time our friends discovered the grout had not been properly mixed. it all had to be scraped up...ick! certainly in the end it'll be worth it.
